Lauren Wallack Antonucci, M.S., R.D., C.D.E., C.D.N, registered dietitian, sports
nutritionist, founder/director of Nutrition Energy in New York City, nutrition advisor and
head triathlon coach for the New York City chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma
Society’s Team in Training Program, member of the ING New York City Marathon
Nutrition Team, Ironman triathlete, and experienced marathoner.
Panelists
Kathrine Switzer is the author of the book Running and Walking for Women Over 40:
The Road to Sanity and Vanity. She has run 35 marathons and won the 1974 New York
City Marathon. Switzer helped lead the charge to get the women’s marathon event
included in the 1984 Olympics. Now an esteemed television commentator, Switzer was
inducted into the National Distance Running Hall of Fame as part of the inaugural class
in 1998.
Grete Waitz is a nine-time winner of the New York City Marathon, five-time winner of
the World Cross Country Championships, and was the gold medalist at the inaugural
World Championship Marathon, in Helsinki in 1983. Since her retirement from
competitive running, Waitz has become an accomplished author and global health and
fitness advocate. She serves as chairwoman of the New York Road Runners
Foundation.
Colleen De Reuck is one of the world’s best masters (40+) distance runners. She won
the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Women’s Marathon and represented the United
States at the 2004 Athens Olympics. De Reuck competed in the 1992, 1996, and 2000
Olympics for her native South Africa and holds South African records at a wide range
of distances. She lives in Boulder, Colorado, with her husband and their 10-year-old
daughter.
Stephanie Young, More health director since June 2004, has been involved with health
and fitness for nearly 20 years at such magazines as Self, Redbook, and Glamour.
Articles she has edited have been singled out for awards by the Skin Cancer
Foundation, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Endometriosis
Association. In 2000, a piece she had edited for Redbook on breast cancer was a
National Magazine Awards finalist. Young is the co-author of several health books,
including Smart Face: A Dermatologist's Guide to Saving Your Money and Your Skin
and Love Cycles: The Science of Intimacy.

*A free shuttle will take us from the Sheraton to the pasta dinner, leaving between 4:30
and 5:30 pm. It will take us back to the Sheraton between 7:30 and 8:30.
